Eminence Mervyn Alexander, Bishop of Clifton, established the jury of enqête to consider the accusation made by some parishioners in at least three parishes in the diocese that their parishes endured because of the presence and of the activities of the path neocatechumenal.
The jury will be presided by M. Tom Millington, member of the jury of the Chancellor of the Lord of inspectors Indépendants. He/it will be helped by Mrs Valerie James, member of the Administrators Diocésains and Ex-president National of the union of the Catholic Mothers. The third member of the jurry is the Same Reverend Fr Barnaby Dowling, Priest of Parish. The jury will also surround himself/itself with several advisers.
After having considered several different survey methods he/it has been decided by the team to begin while asking all parishioners whom well wanted to participate in the investigation to answer, in writing, to the following question: What is the path Neo Catechumenal made for you and for your parish?
The answers are addressed has the intention of the jury of investigation of St Ambrose, North Road, Wood Leigh, Bristol board, BS8 3PW,.
Each of the three parishes would be sensible on their turn, while beginning with the parish of St Nicolas of Tolentino of Bristol board. To send their answer to the jury, is asked all paroisssiens of this parish that wished to participate in the investigation January 28.
The same process will be followed then in the parish of the consecrations Hearts, Kings Charlton, Cheltenham, and in the parish of St Peter, Gloucester. Once this process does in all parishes, and the studied written answers, the jury of enqête would hold public assemblies then in each of the three parishes.
While the team hopes to have news especially of the members of the three parishes everybody is the welcome to participate in the demand if he wishes it. The copy of this declaration will be sent to all parishes in the diocese.
